Ultimate Road Trip Playlist 2020
The number one thing you need for a great road trip is the perfect playlist with songs you can jam to for 7+ hours. We know there are thousands of playlist options online, but as avid road trippers (and just all around cool ladies), we think that ours is the best.
We’re going to share some of our favorite songs on the playlist and why they made the cut.

DON’T STOP BELIEVIN’ - Journey
This is a classic.
A great karaoke song. An even better carpool karaoke song. Just flip this baby on and listen as your passengers bless you with their beautiful singing voices.
But seriously. This is just one of those songs that makes you want to sing as loud as you can and that’s what makes it the perfect road trip jam.
UPTOWN FUNK - Mark Ronson & Bruno Mars
This is our jam song! We’ve done at least two carpool karaoke videos featuring this song, and I’m sure there will be more in the future.
It gets us dancing and jamming no matter how long we’ve been driving that day, which is priceless on long road trips!
BEST DAY OF MY LIFE - American Authors
We started obsessing over this song on our first big road trip in 2014-2015 and it’s been our theme song ever since. It perfect describes how we like to live during our road trips… like every day is the best one ever.
When we’re road tripping, especially long distances, we like to keep the songs upbeat and happy to keep us awake and excited for the trip. If we were listening to slow songs, our motivation for driving would switch to the need for a nap real quick.
SATISFIED - Hamilton the Musical
This didn’t just make the cut because it’s a beautiful piece of musical theatre art. It actually made it because Jenni can sing/rap the entire song. It’s a great party trick and even better for 12+ hour road trip
delusional status.
THIS ONE’S FOR THE GIRLS - Martina McBride
This became our official mother-daughter song in 2003, so it ends up on every playlist we make for road trips, plane trips, cruises, etc.
It makes us nostalgic, excited, happy, and we always sing at the top of our lungs.

I don’t think I need to explain this song but I will…
If you’re ever feeling down about yourself or your situation, listen to this song! It’ll make you feel sexy, powerful, and excited for everything to come. It’s just one of those songs, and it’a a must for every road trip.
