#5 - The Big Easy - Winter Garden, FL

Coming in at number five is a delicious bowl of jambalaya from The Big Easy in Winter Garden, Florida. This was one of our first trips as travel bloggers, and we were spoiled BIG TIME by the folks at The Big Easy. We were given heaps of food and it was hard to choose a favorite, but that jambalaya was some of the best we’ve ever had.

Everything was perfectly cooked with a balance of salty and spicy flavors. Nothing was overpowering or overwhelming. It all just melted perfectly into our tastebuds and kept us going back for more.

#4 - Café Fiorello - New York City, NY

I’m cheating just a tiny bit with this one, because when we traveled to New York we weren’t exactly the bloggers we are today. It was the start to a beautiful journey and the catalyst for our travel storytelling brand. Plus, this pizza was too good not to share.

It was our first day in the city and we were set to see La Bohème at the Metropolitan Opera, but we needed a bite. So, we took a stroll across the street and stopped at this amazing little place called Cafe Fiorello. We were not disappointed in the slightest!

We devoured a Margherita pizza and cheesecake, and washed it down with a yummy cappuccino.

To this day it’s one of our favorite spots in the city!

#3 - Max’s Brick Oven - Paducah, KY

The number three spot was taken by a sweet treat from our favorite spot in Paducah. It’s the New Orlean’s Bread Pudding from Max’s Brick Oven.

This thing is wild. Super sweet and decadent, a little boozy from the house made whiskey sauce, creamy and soft, with the perfect crunch from the nuts on top. If you like bread pudding, just order it.

Please.

It was the perfect cap to an all around delicious dinner.

#2 - Key West, FL

Number two is an appetizer from our favorite spot in Key West, Caroline’s Café. It’s a classic Key West delicacy… conch fritters!

We ate these bad boys for lunch and dinner on our last day in Key West. They’re that good.

No.

They’re better.

They are the perfect balance of a crispy outside and a yummy gooey inside. They were just true perfection.

#1 - Smoke on the Water - Greenville, SC

The number one, top of the heap, holy grail dish comes from Smoke on the Water in Greenville. This was the first restaurant we featured as travel storytellers, and it’s still one of our favorites of all time.

Considering Mike, the chef and owner, served us basically everything on the menu, choosing a favorite was hard, but not impossible.

We chose this delicious habanero barbecue grilled shrimp served with a yummy fried grits cake.

Yes, you read that right.

A fried grits cake.

And, yes, it was as delicious as it sounds.

This dish was so unbelievably fantastic that it’s featured on some of our business cards and our car magnets. It’s a real winner, y’all!
