Where to Stay in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania || Gaslight Inn Bed and Breakfast
On our summer trip to Pennsylvania, we made an unexpected detour to one of the nation’s most historic cities, Gettysburg. We booked a stay at the beautiful Gaslight Inn, which is a B&B just off of Baltimore Street AKA the main drag in Gettysburg.
Check out this video…
The Gaslight Inn truly has the perfect location. It’s just a couple of streets over from Baltimore Street, which is where all of the action is. It’s a block from Lincoln Square, which is considered the center of Gettysburg. So you’re within walking distance to absolutely everything, but you still get to experience some peace and quiet since you’re just off the main street.
Michael and Jennifer, the owners, took over the Gaslight in 2018 after staying at the inn many times on their own trips to Gettysburg. They’ve taken it and loved it and done whatever they can to make it feel like home while still maintaining its Civil War decor. That’s not very hard considering Michael is a serious history buff. If you want to know anything about the Civil War or the Gettysburg area, he’s your guy.
They don’t live on property, but they’re available whenever you need them and they serve one of the best breakfasts we’ve ever had. If you’re lucky enough to get Michael’s baked French toast, then you’ll be a Gaslight fan for life.
The inn has nine rooms, all with an historic feel, but the comfort of a high-end resort.
The rooms are located on the second and third floors with the exception of the Garden Room, which is their ADA room located on the first floor.
They have rooms available with everything from California King to Queen beds, spa showers, and tubs. All of the rooms are given on-site free parking behind the inn. All of the rooms also have 500 thread count sheets, WiFi, private bathrooms, USB charging stations, flat screen TVs, and central heating and air.
We stayed in the Ivy Room on the second floor. It’s Gaslight’s most spacious standard room with a King bed and sitting area complete with two comfy chairs.
All of the rooms have fresh water and a delicious treat upon check-in. We had a tasty blueberry/lemon muffin, which we enjoyed as the light streamed into our beautiful room that afternoon.
We were only at Gaslight for one night, but we enjoyed it so thoroughly and can’t wait to go back. We slept like babies in that comfy bed and loved every second of our stay.
Our stay at the Gaslight Inn was absolutely incredible and we couldn’t have asked for better accommodations for our time in Gettysburg. Owners, Michael and Jennifer were so kind to us and we can’t fully express our gratitude to them for hosting us.
We had a great time, and think you should book your stay here ASAP.
