Where to Eat in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania || Tomato Pie Café in Lititz, Pennsylvania
While we were in Lititz, we knew we wanted to eat at some of the staples for the community. Tomato Pie Café fits that bill. It’s locally owned and operated by the Fisher family, founded on the idea of a little food, a little coffee, and a lot of charm.

The atmosphere was created to be an urban style eatery with an artful menu of eclectic and classic dishes. In addition to their savor menu options, they also have a ton of pastries made at their sister company, Cake & Cup Bake Shoppe and Coffee.
Tomato Pie also has a full espresso bar with house made syrups that are made fresh at Cake & Cup.
The lovely people at Tomato Pie had a menu prepared for us when we arrived, so we got to try a little bit of everything. The first thing on the menu was the original tomato pie.
It’s fresh red tomatoes baked in their house made pie shell and topped with a blend of cheeses. That cheese gets all crusty and delicious in the oven.
It has such a unique and fresh flavor. We were in love from the first bite.
Then we moved on to a shockingly delicious curry chicken salad.
It has chicken with grapes, onions, almonds, and celery in a coconut curry mayo topped with glazed walnuts and tomatoes on mixed greens.
Normally we are chicken salad purists. So no fruits or nuts involved. But y’all, this was delicious! It was actually Jenni’s favorite thing on the menu, but it came pretty dang close to that tomato pie.
For the third installment of this delicious meal we enjoyed the smokey beet burger, which is their signature burger made with beets, cauliflower, garbanzo beans, and onions. It’s served on the pretzel bun topped with vegan mayo, spinach, and avocado.
If you’re a vegan or vegetarian or just enjoy a good veggie burger, this is perfect for you. And that pretzel bun is YUM-MY!
For dessert we had the strawberry shortcake dreamcake, which is a vanilla cupcake filled with strawberry compote, strawberry buttercream, and topped with white chocolate curls.
It’s made at the awesome sister company, Cake & Cup, which we also featured in our Lititz vlog. You can check that out here.
We really loved the amazing people at Tomato Pie and appreciate them putting together such a thoughtful menu for us to try.
If you’re in the Lititz area, definitely drop into Tomato Pie for lunch. It’s always a happening place and a staple for locals. Thanks for having us, y’all, and we can’t wait to come back!
